- 1 sheet store-bought puff pastry
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated Gruyere cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375F 190C
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat
Saut onions and garlic until translucent, about 3-4 minutes
Add mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and start to brown, about 5-7 minutes
Season with salt, pepper, and thyme
Roll out puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Spread mushroom mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a border around the edges
Sprinkle grated Gruyere cheese over the mushrooms
Fold the edges of the pastry inward to form a crust
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and crisp
Let cool slightly before slicing and serving
