Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- Vegan chocolate spread or frosting
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet
Mix the cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl with a whisk
Add the vegetable oil, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and apple cider vinegar to a different bowl and mix them together
Melt the butter by mixing the wet and dry ingredients together
Spread the batter out evenly on the baking sheet that has been prepared
Put it in the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean
Take it out of the oven and let it cool down a bit
Carefully flip the cake over onto a clean kitchen towel that has powdered sugar on it
Take the paper off the cake and roll it up in the towel from one short end to the other
Allow it to totally cool down
Lay the cake out flat and cover the top with vegan chocolate spread or frosting
Take off the towel and roll the cake back up again
Put it in the fridge for at least an hour after wrapping it in plastic wrap
Cut it up and enjoy
