Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Oil for frying
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 4 tbsp hot water
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt
In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out donut shapes using a donut cutter
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350F 175C
Carefully place the donuts in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side
Remove donuts with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels
In a small bowl, whisk together confectioners sugar, hot water, and vanilla extract to make the glaze
Dip each donut into the glaze and let excess drip off
Place glazed donuts on a wire rack to set
